How much does it cost to attend a workshop?
The minimum price for a seat at most of our Workshops is $30. Prices go up based on size, personalization and customizations. Workshops for kids are promotionally priced and can be seen on the sign up page for each workshop.
How can I see what workshops are available?
All of our workshops are listed here. We list Pop Up Workshops a couple weeks ahead of time and they do fill up quick. A good way to keep track of when we post a new Pop Up Workshop is to subscribe to our events on our Facebook page.
What is a Pop Up Workshop?
It's just the new name for Open Workshops. These are workshops that are open to the public with no minimums needed. Since we'll be popping up around town, we decided to call them Pop Ups. Make sure that when you register for a Pop Up Workshop you've made a note of the location :)
Do I have to register and pay ahead of time?
For most of our Workshops, registration, customizations & payment are required at booking on our site. We are unable to hold spots for designs that have not been paid for. Please be sure to double check your information to ensure that your order is correct. Once your order is submitted there will be a $15 re-cut fee if anything needs to be changed or you change your mind on the design.
The exception to pre-registration would be any event where we state that you can select from pre-cut designs that we have available. Personalization & Customization are not available at these events.
What time should I arrive for a workshop?
We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the workshop is supposed to start so we can start right on time. This helps us maintain a schedule and respect everyone that arrives on time. Thanks for understanding.
How long are the workshops?Almost all of our workshops are 3 hours long. Kid's Workshops/Birthday's are 2 hours long. This is plenty of time to finish your sign. Occasionally for Cornhole and Reversible Workshops more time will be allowed. If you are not able to finish your sign in the 3 hours, you may be asked to come back at another time to finish it.
Do you offer Custom signs?
Custom signs are available. You can find more info on custom signs here. Once a Custom Sign is approved and cut, there will be a $15 re-cut fee if anything needs to be changed.
How many people can attend a private workshop?
We love private workshops at Pine & Company! You need at least 8 people or 8 signs to have a workshop and our maximum will vary based on the venue. For more info on our private workshops, you can go here Private Workshops or email email@example.com.
How long do guests have to register for Private Workshops?
We like to have everyone's order in at least a week ahead of time and if it is custom we need at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop so we have enough time to get everyone's signs and wood prepped. You will receive due dates in your registration email, once the workshop has been set up.
What is a Take & Make?
It is a kit that we put together with everything you need to make a sign at home. Sometimes we have set kits, but you can also order any of our signs as a Take & Make. What is a Drop In?
It is a time frame where you can just drop by the venue we're at at the time and paint a sign that you have pre-ordered. In some cases, we will have pre-printed signs available. We take the last walk-in 30 minutes before the set time frame ends.
Are we allowed to bring our own snacks and/or beverages?
This will depend on the venue, please contact us for more information about the specific venue you will be at. (email@example.com)
Are kids allowed at the Workshops?
Pop Up Workshops are for 16+. Kids under 16 are ONLY allowed at Storytime Workshops, Kid Friendly Pop Up Workshops and Private Workshops (if the hostess approves it). We try to keep the environment calm and relaxing, so children are only allowed on specific days. We do offer Private Kid's Workshops. KID FRIENDLY events will be marked as such in their description.
I am coming with friends. Can we sit together?
Yes you can! There is no assigned seating! Please make a note of this when signing up or email us and we can make sure you are together. You can also come a little early and we can move things around if needed. Coming alone? Don't worry, this is a great place to meet new friends. :)
I have a friend that didn't reserve a spot but would like to tag along. Is this allowed?
Due to liability reasons, only ONE GUEST per project is allowed unless it is a listed in the workshop description that it is a 2 person project. No outside guests are allowed during a workshop without a paid project.
I am not a crafty, creative person. Can I do this??
Absolutely! We have heard from so many people that aren't crafty and love the workshops! Our instructors will help you through the process to make sure your sign is just what you want!
Do I have to paint my sign the way it looks on your website?
No! We want you to paint your sign they way you want it to look! You'll be able to completely customize your project we have many colors to choose from.
Can I order a sign & have you paint it for me?
Yes! You can go here to order your sign: https://pineandcompany.com/collections/take-make-kits/products/painted-by-pine-co OR email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information- which sign, the size you'd like and colors that you'd like us to use. There is a $15 fee added when we paint the sign for you.
I need to cancel/reschedule can I get a refund?
Since each design is made to order and your seat has been reserved, our fees are non-refundable.If you cannot come to the workshop, please email or call us and we will set your sign aside.
If you let us know within 48 hours, you can come to a Pop Up Workshop to paint your sign. If you contact us with less than 48 hours notice, you can come and pick it up as a Take & Make. If those options don't work and there is space in another Pop Up, there will be a $15 fee to move you to an available Pop Up Workshop.
If you do not show up for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.
If I can't make it, can I give my spot to my friend?
Of course! However your friend will be making the sign that you purchased. We prepare all of our workshops according to your reservation well in advance.
I ordered a Personalized Sign or Custom Sign, but XX happened. Can I return it & make a new one?
We are sorry, but all personalized/Custom items are non-returnable/non-refundable
What is your Private Workshop Cancellation Policy?
A deposit is due when booking your private workshop. Once you have your minimum of 8 guests or 8 signs met (by the sign due date you were given), we will refund your initial deposit. If you are unable to meet the minimum, the deposit will be forfeited. If you choose to cancel your private party or move the date, the deposit will not be refunded due to the nature of our studio and the demand for private workshop times on our calendar.
